Romantasy Cabaret ushers in a spectacular New Year with their fourth New Year’s Eve Masquerade Gala.
Lauded as a “veritable buffet of naughty pleasures” by Arizona Reporter, this bawdy and beautiful show has received such awards as Phoenix New Times Best of Phoenix award for Best Vaudeville Entertainment, runner up for Best Local Performing Art Troupe by East Valley Tribune in 2011, and Best Performance Troupe by the City of Tempe for 2012. VaVaVoom, the showgirls of Romantasy Cabaret, won 2nd place for Best Performance, Group/Duo Category at the Albuquerque Burlesque and Sideshow Spectacular in 2012. Additionally, several cast members in the show are also title holders in the national burlesque scene.
Attendees can count on dazzling cabaret acts, saucy dance numbers, vaudeville variety, comedy skits, and tantalizing burlesque. This year’s gala includes music by Swing Dance & Rockabilly band Whiskey Kiss and a dance floor for cutting a rug. The festive evening includes party favors for guests and a champagne toast at midnight.
The theatre venue is near Central Avenue and the downtown area with an abundance of restaurants and eateries for patrons to grab a bite before the long night of cabaret and live music.
Since the event is a Masquerade Ball, fans are encouraged to dress in costume with masks. In fact, some cabaret show numbers even include willing audience members, so attendees should look their best if attending this soiree.
Due to the nature of Romantasy Cabaret’s themes and material, the show is for adults 18 and up. There is also a full bar for those patrons 21 and up.
